Androgenic Alopecia is a medical condition that is the most common cause of hair loss in both female and male humans. In male pattern baldness hair is lost in a well-defined pattern, beginning above both temples. Hair also thins at the crown of the head.
Usually, women do not suffer classic male pattern baldness. In women, the hair becomes thinner all over the head, and the hair line does not recede.
The pattern of baldness differs in males and females.
Affected hair follicles on the scalp gradually become smaller than normal.
